When the Lucknow chapter of DBM India started out a evening school program in Lucknow for children from the nearby slum areas, we did not know that this program would expand to such a huge scale.

The program started at Modern Academy Gomtinagar. Seeing the impact and potential of the program, the school soon started helping us out.  The school soon started provising us more teachers, separate rooms for classes.
Very soon the program was showing results and more parents from nearby areas started sending their kids to the school.

We soon had more non-profits pitching together and funding the program – including Kabir Foundation and Parvaas Foundation. The program now covers 3 schools including Jaipuria School in Lucknow and now the kids even have a inter school competition. Its incredible to see how far this program came.

The total number of kids covered under the program has now reached 450. DBM India received a special award for the work.
