Despite the Pandemic, DBM has continued to empower the needy people. We continue to motivate our women beneficiaries, arranging online classes, mentoring them, preparing them for job interviews, motivating them to start their small enterprises and giving them that initial push. So it is heartening to receive the stories of 3 of our successful women who have successfully got jobs or have started teaching tailoring after learning at our center. Read their stories here.
I am Samreen. My biggest dream is to educate kids.
All of these started with the confidence that I gained from DBM. I did the Pre-Primary Teacher Course (ECC). My first day at DBM was full of questions. I knew that I would make it and fly with wonderful colours.
I live with my parents and my mother was never in favour of me doing any job or work but this decision of being a part of DBM and learn to grow also changed my mother’s mentality.
Today women are stepping out equally as men in all fields.
I am so thankful to DBM because they treated me as their child and made me independent. Today I am working with BMC and I serve people in the time of pandemic which gives me courage and wisdom to learn more. Big thanks to DBM for changing my life.

I am Sana Shaikh. I got to know about DBM from one of my friends who told me that DBM educates women and makes them capable of holding out against all odds in life.
I still remember my day 01 at DBM. I was little nervous and confused. But everything changed when I came out of that wonderful space. I grew as an individual in terms of confidence and knowledge.

I am Meenachi Babu Naidu and I got to know about DBM as an organisation that teaches various courses like tailoring, beautician, computer courses etc. I joined the Pre-Primary Teacher Course at DBM.
There was time in my life when I was very unsure of how I will make it happen as I was going through lots of ups and downs. I lost my parents at an early stage of my life. I live with my twin brothers at my uncle’s place.
I still remember this time very clearly, I wanted to back off from this course as I had no money. When DBM got to know my circumstances, they requested me to continue my learning and they didn’t take any fees for the course.
I don’t have words to acknowledge what all DBM has done for me and helped me at times when I felt all doors were shut. Today I am working as a teacher and have a job. All thanks to DBM for making me independent and for supporting me. I am so confident today that I believe nothing can let you down if you are strong enough to fight back. Once again I thank DBM for becoming my shield and standing for me in my bad times.
