The 12th AGM of NIT was held on 8th of July, 2017 in the Registered Office of NIT in Dharma Bharathi Ashram, Perumpilly. Mulanthuruthy, Ernakulum Kochi – 682314
Before the AGM began formally, the members wished Swamiji on the ocassion of the 35th anniversary of the air crash which he had survived in 1982. The members expressed their deep gratitude for his secon life devoted to the service to humanity.
The entire Board of Trustees and entire board of members were present and Mr Paramjeet Singh presented the annual report and financial reports were approved by the board.
During the meeting reports by all wings were presented as regards to the work done in the previous year. Mr Paramjeet Singh invited the heads of the wings of NIT to present the reports and to submit their printed copies to the Board members along with the expenditures made and a detailed plan for the coming year supported with a budget plan. Following were the reports presented :
- DBNI Lucknow by Dr S K Singh.
- Dharma Bharathi Mission by Farheen Peshimam and K K Jhunjhunwala
- Navshrushti Eco- Spiritual Tourism Society by Mr George Thanangadan
- Navshrushti Academy of Integral Leadership by SDK Thomas John.
- Navshrushti Ashram, Nagpur by SDK Rajhans Bharat
Mr Paramjeet also presented the consolidated annual report and audited accounts of Navshrushti International Trust for 2016-17
All heads of institutions then presented their plans and proposals including budgets for the coming year. An unanimous decision was taken to avoid any investments in immovable assests and to focus on making all projects self sustainable.
There were also some factual discussions around the IT Act and its implications, GST, TDS and FCRA policies.
