DBM -Rotary Club Partnership for Skill Development
Rotary Club of Deonar on the 27th of July partnered with DBM India to support Economic and Community Development with Skill Training. They have identified 40 Students who are dedicated and hardworking and are supporting their MS-CIT Course at the DBM India Vocational Center at Trombay.
DBM Beautician Course
Very happy to share that, despite personal odds, family issues and the pandemic, one of our bright beautician course student- Varsha Lokhane from Govandi, Mumbai, has landed a job in Urban Company (formerly Urban Clap) ! With this 25 of our girls are now working with UC. Congratulations to Varsha
Class 10 results
Despite pandemic and the inability of the schools to conduct online classes, the children in the schools in M-ward, Mumbai supported by us, have exceedingly well and we thank all our partners who helped us in conducting online classes for them.
DBM’s Learning Centre
DBM’s Learning Centre- Udaan….as the name suggests it gives wings to our young slum Learners….to take a Flight from the Routine to more. MSCIT Exams
29 DBM computer students successfully appeared for the MSCIT Exams and made us proud by scoring superb marks, – All of them scored above 80% – 17 got above 90%, – 3 above 95% and – one student Roshan got 100% ! Congratulations to all the successful students and well
Distribution of masks to slum dwellers and Policemen
In view of the fact that people are letting their guard down and the impending third wave, we have, with the generous help of GiveIndia distributed N95 masks to around 10000 families in the slums of Govandi, Trombay, Mankhurd including the families of policemen who are working and living there.
