Acharyashri Swami Sachidananda Bharathi

Founder, Navasrushti International Trust (NIT)

Acharyashri Sachidananda Bharathi, a former Indian Air Force Squadron Leader, is a seeker of truth and promoter of peace. A near-death experience in an air accident in 1982 transformed his life. He entered spiritual life in 1984, received Acharya Diksha in 1990 and embraced Sanyasa in 2001.

He has travelled extensively and represented India at the United Nations’ Millennium World Peace Summit of Religious & Spiritual Leaders.

In 2007, he undertook the ‘Desh Vandana’ All India Peace Pilgrimage. In 2008, he initiated the ‘Second Freedom Struggle of India’, envisioning a Hunger-free, Caste-free & Corruption-free India.

He and Paramjeet Singh, co-founded DBM India in 2008, as a vehicle under NIT, to work on the first of these 3 goals i.e Hunger-Free India.

Acharyashri now devotes his time in spiritual pursuits and has authored a large number of books. He continues to motivate and inspire countless people to create a more humane and equitable society.
